After school snacks - mini meal in a mug

Quick, well balanced and tasty. What's not to love?

This substantial snack is a great post-school, post-training or pre-bed snack. Make it to your own tastes.

  • A slice of bread
  • 1-2 spring onions
  • 1-2 slices of ham (or chicken/tuna - whatever you fancy) finely sliced
  • A tomato or some cherry tomatoes, sliced 
  • A chunk of cheese grated
  • An egg
  • A splash of milk
  • Seasonings
  1. Rip the bread into chunks and add to a mug
  2. Add the onion, ham and tomato
  3. Crack an egg and whisk before adding to the mixture
  4. Add a splash of milk to moisten.
  5. Mix well
  6. Microwave on full power for 60 seconds. Check it before microwaving it for another 30-60 seconds. Keep an eye on it as if the mug is too full it will explode over!
